The Sear Squad Cookbook, Volume 1

Cookbook Vol. 1

Sixty recipes.
Twenty-eight days planned.

Every recipe carries its macros, its cost, and the one technique note that saves it. The four-week plan tells you what to cook and what to buy, so dinner stops being a decision you make at 6pm with the fridge open.

Inside the book

Six chapters, sixty recipes

Each chapter teaches one thing and then spends it ten ways. Every recipe uses the same short list: meat, eggs, butter, cheese, salt, and simple seasoning.

Chapter 1, Steak and the Perfect Sear

Chapter 1 · 10 recipes

Steak and the Perfect Sear

Master one pan, one cut, one method. Ribeye, NY strip, picanha, and sirloin, plus the compound butters and pan sauces built from the drippings already in your skillet.

  • The First Sear Char-Crust Ribeye
  • Whisper Crust NY Strip
  • Picanha, Fat Cap First
Chapter 2, Ground and Griddle

Chapter 2 · 10 recipes

Ground and Griddle

The cheapest protein in the meat case, ten ways. Lace-edge smash burgers, brown butter meatballs, griddle sliders, and bowls that put triple digits on one plate.

  • The Crust Commander Smash Stack
  • Doc's Even-Keel Diner Melt
  • Whisper-Sear Butter Bath Meatballs
Chapter 3, Eggs and Breakfast Plates

Chapter 3 · 10 recipes

Eggs and Breakfast Plates

Eggs and meat, the two cheapest complete proteins in the store. Plates that hold until afternoon, including breakfast burgers that use beef as the bun.

  • The Yolk Down Stack
  • Dawn Patrol: Brown Butter Steak and Basted Eggs
  • The Trifold: Three-Cheese Omelet
Chapter 4, Poultry and Crispy Skin

Chapter 4 · 10 recipes

Poultry and Crispy Skin

Skin crisps when it dries, renders, and meets steady heat, in that order. Wings three ways, thighs that shatter, two whole-bird moves, and the skin most people throw away.

  • Powder Keg Wings
  • Glass Skin Thighs
  • The Flat Bird
Chapter 5, Low and Slow

Chapter 5 · 10 recipes

Low and Slow

Chuck, short ribs, pork shoulder, and the bones most people bin. Standard oven, no smoker. Put it in before work, come back to dinner.

  • The Three O'Clock Chuck
  • Midnight Short Ribs
  • Whisper Pork
Chapter 6, Seafood and Butter

Chapter 6 · 10 recipes

  • Butter Bomb Shrimp, Six Minutes Flat
  • The 90-Second Scallop Crust

The part most cookbooks skip

A four-week plan, not a pile of recipes

Twenty-eight days of breakfasts and dinners, drawn from these sixty recipes by name, with one shopping list per week. Cook Sunday once and the week feeds itself. When you do not want to think, you turn to the back of the book and follow it.

  • Every day names the exact recipe and page, so there is nothing to decide.
  • One shopping list per week, built from the meals on it.
  • Batch days are marked, because the plan leans on them hard.
  • Swap any dinner for another from the same chapter and the macros hold.

Cook the flagship tonight

The Butter-Basted Ribeye is free on this site, laid out exactly the way the book lays out all sixty: ingredients, numbered steps, macros, cost, and the technique note that makes it work. If you like how that page cooks, the book is more of it.

Who this is for

Three kinds of cook

You lift and you are sick of the math

Every recipe prints its protein, its cost, and its cook time. The protein-per-dollar number is on the card before you commit to the pan.

You have twenty minutes and a hungry family

Most of these are one pan and under fifteen minutes. Macro Mama's chapters cook once and feed the week on purpose.

You went carnivore and ran out of ideas in week two

Sixty ways to cook meat, eggs, butter, and cheese without eating the same plate twice. Pizza night and taco night are both in here, rebuilt from the meat up.

The offer

Free now, and then it is not

The first 100 subscribers get Cookbook Vol. 1 free, because early readers tell us which recipes land and which need another pass. That feedback is worth more right now than the money. Once those copies are claimed the price steps up and does not come back down.

Before you ask

Questions

What format is it?
A PDF you download and keep. It reads on a phone at the stove, on a tablet, or printed and splattered.
What equipment do I need?
A cast iron pan and an instant-read thermometer. That is the whole list. Every recipe cooks on a stovetop or in a standard oven, and nothing here asks for a smoker or a gadget.
Are the macro numbers exact?
They are estimates from standard cuts and typical ingredient data, not lab measurements. Your butcher's ribeye and your brand of butter will move the math, and the book says so on every page.
Is this a medical or weight loss book?
No. It is a cookbook. Nothing in it claims to treat, cure, or prevent anything, and it is not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before changing your diet.
I already read The Weekly Sear. Do I need to do anything?
No. Subscribers are already in line for a founding copy. The download link comes in the welcome email.
What is the catch?
There is not one. The founding copies are free because early readers tell us which recipes land and which need another pass. That feedback is worth more to us right now than the money.
