Butter Roast Chicken Legs

- 4 legs, about 2.5 lbwhole chicken legs, thigh and drumstick
- 2 tbsp, meltedbutter
- 2 tspsalt
- 1/2 tspblack pepper

Heat the oven to 425 F. Pat the legs very dry and salt all sides.

Set them skin up on a rack over a sheet pan and brush with half the butter.

Roast 40 minutes until the skin is deep golden and the thigh hits 175 F.

Brush with the rest of the butter, rest 5 minutes, and crack pepper over the top.
